Superfans cause a stir by only attending certain sports

The Super Fans are the highlight of the student section. They get the student section fired up to support the student athletes of the school. But some sports don’t get to feel the same attention, other sports are ignored largely. Super Fans obviously make it to all football games no matter how far, they stay until the very end of the game no matter if it’s a blow out or if it’s a victory. They will be there regardless of the circumstances. But the fans only go to select sporting events. They either go when whatever sport is winning the majority of their games and having a good season, or if the sport is relevant and popular. The super fans should be required to go to all sporting events even if they're interested or not, it’s their job to be supporting all of the school's student athletes. It’s not right that only select teams get to feel the energy of the fans.

Take a look at our boys and girls water polo. They have made it to state finals every year since 2020. Where was the support from the Super Fans to support them? Not there. Boys volleyball has won state championships for three years in a row and the super fans only made it to one out of the three of them. Boys soccer made it to district finals against Grand Haven this year, and none of the Super Fans came to support them. Some might say that all of them can’t make it to all the games that go on after school in one night but why don’t they split up who goes where? So then everyone feels noticed. If that’s too much time taken from their personal lives they should consider not being a super fan.

Super fans shouldn’t be interested in going to certain games if a team is doing good. They should always be there to support their classmates no matter how good or bad a sport is doing.
